Brit appoints Paolo Cuomo to newly created role, Head of Strategy

Brit has appointed Paolo Cuomo from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to the newly created role of Head of Strategy.

BRIT logoIn his new role, Cuomo will be based in London and will report to Mark Allan, Brit’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will be responsible for helping to develop, manage and implement Brit’s strategic initiatives which the firm announced in May 2019.

Brit states that Cuomo will also be tasked with working to ensure the firm is in the best possible position to respond to and input into Lloyd’s and the London Market Association’s (LMA) future strategy and vision for the re/insurance marketplace.

He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role and most recently spent a decade in the London insurance market. He joins from BCG, where he led the expansion of its commercial insurance unit. Prior to BCG, Cuomo spent three years as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Charles Taylor Managing Agency, and also five years as a member of the Beazley Operations Leadership Team.

He also co-authored the London Matters report in 2017, having co-founded InsTech London.
