Brit has announced the appointment of Rich Hartman as Senior Vice President (SVP), Construction Professional at Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU), with effect from 2nd January 2018.
Based in BGSU’s New York office, Hartman, who brings over 35 years’ insurance industry experience and expertise in the construction sector, will report to Tom Bongi.
President of Brit Americas, Nick Davies, commented; “Rich’s hire by BGSU builds strongly on the progress we have been making in developing and growing our Professional Lines offering under Tom Bongi’s leadership.
“Rich brings both a long-track record in the industry and a high level of technical expertise and we look forward to delivering his skills to our clients in the construction space.”
Most recently Hartman was at Arch Insurance, where he led the Design & Environmental division; prior to this he was with Zurich’s North American Construction team.

This announcement follows the appointment of Tom Bongi in August 2017, as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Professional Lines.
