Chubb announces two executive changes

Global re/insurer Chubb has made two new executive changes.

ChubbThe company has announced, effective immediately, Suresh Krishnan has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ESIS, and Lauren Gillette has been named Executive Vice President, Head of North America Accident & Health.

Krishnan most recently served as Head of North America Accident & Health and within his new role, he will report to recently named Division President of ESIS, Jim Shevlin.

As COO of ESIS, Krishnan’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing a range of strategies related to claims execution for the business, including overseeing the performance of technology, handling of workers compensation, auto, general liability and specialty claims, legal, compliance, operations, process improvement and product development.

He joined Chubb, then named ACE, in 1999 and has served in various executive-level positions.

Previously, he was Head of Chubb’s European Group’s Major Accounts Division, where he led the development of business strategies and metrics ensuring clients and brokers fully benefited from Chubb’s risk and underwriting expertise.

In addition, he has also served in senior roles within the company’s international general insurance operations, Overseas General Insurance, including leading strategy for multinational and large accounts, and leading and managing the Global Client Executive Practice.

Furthermore, Gillette, who replaces Krishnan, most recently served as COO of Chubb’s North America Accident & Health Division. However, within her new role as EVP, Head of North America Accident & Health she will serve as head of the business, and report to Matt Merna.
