Chubb launches new Major Accounts Division in Asia Pacific, names head

Property & Casualty (P&C) insurer Chubb has launched a new Major Accounts Division in the Asia Pacific region and has named Doug White, current Country President of Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau, as its head, effective 1 October 2018.

ChubbChubb said the new Division will be a dedicated premium service encompassing underwriting, risk engineering, and claims for the Asia Pacific region’s large, global, and multi-national clients and business partners.

As Head of the Major Accounts Division, White will be tasked with delivering bespoke solutions and services to clients and business partners through management of the Chubb Global Services team, Global Client Executives, Claims Client Relationship Managers and Risk Engineers.

White has more than 25 years’ insurance industry experience and joined Chubb as Country President for Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau in 2014, before which he was a Managing Director at re/insurance broker JLT. He will now report to Jason Keen, Chubb’s Regional Head of Property & Casualty, Asia Pacific.

Additionally, Chubb announced the appointment of Patrick Wong, current Head of Property & Casualty for Hong Kong, to the newly created role of Global Client Executive, North Asia.

In his new role, Wong will serve as the senior relationship manager and single point of contact for Chubb’s large global clients in North Asia, reporting to White.

Wong joined Chubb’s predecessor company in 1991 and has since served as an integral member of the Property & Casualty team, eventually taking on its leadership in 2005, Chubb said.
