Dale Underwriting appoints Carter Class Underwriter, Energy and Liability insurance

Dale Underwriting Partners, the trading name for Dale Managing Agency Limited’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 1729, has appointed Andrew Carter as Class Underwriter, Energy and Liability insurance.

dale-underwriting-partners-logoCarter joins Dale from Markel International, where he most recently served as Director of Liability.

Before this, he worked at QBE Syndicate 1036 for nearly two decades, where he held the role of Portfolio Manager for Liability.

In his new role at Dale, Carter will be responsible for building out the firm’s entry into the Marine and Energy Liability business lines.

Based in London, Carter will report to Matt Holmes, Head of Energy, who commented, “I am extremely pleased to announce Andrew’s appointment, and we look forward to working with him in 2024.

“Andrew has a proven track record of working within the Liability sector and his extensive experience will help us develop and expand our Marine and Energy offerings in 2024.”
