DARAG Germany adds Dr. Christoph Wetzel to supervisory board

Legacy acquirer DARAG Group has announced the addition of Dr. Christoph Wetzel to the supervisory board of its German insurance entity, DARAG Deutschland AG.

christoph-wetzelDr. Wetzel is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of fpb AG, a member of the ON Service Group.

He has worked in the German insurance market for over 25 years, having previously worked at HDI Group for more than six years where he was a board member of HDI Germany, and as CEO of Talanx Germany’s non-life retail business.

Dr. Wetzel also spent a decade in senior management positions encompassing operations, IT, and human resources with Basler Versicherungen Germany.

Alexander Roth, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DARAG Europe, commented: “Christoph has a stand-out reputation across the German insurance market and we are delighted that he has chosen to join our supervisory board.

“Alongside his notable consulting experience, his expertise and insight in all areas of insurance gained at senior management level enable him to offer clear and strategic advice, that will be of significant benefit to us and our clients across continental Europe.”
