Guy Carpenter, a global reinsurance broker and Mash business, has announced the appointment of Dorothee Melis-Moutafis as Head of Global Clients.
In her new position, Melis-Moutafis will focus on helping clients navigate complexity with coordinated, high-quality support across markets, bringing together the right expertise and insights to inform risk and reinsurance decisions, uncover opportunities, and deliver consistent outcomes globally.
The executive has been part of Guy Carpenter since 2013, when she joined the company as Managing Director of Property Solutions Group, responsible for France, Iberia, Italy, Greece, Turkey.
Since then she has held a number of leadership positions within the company, including as EVP, Executive Partnership and C-Suite Engagement, her most recent role.
Prior to Guy Carpenter, Melis-Moutafis spent 15 years at Willis Re. She initially joined the company as a Broker, and was then appointed Divisional Director, head of London desk for Iberia and Southern Europe.
In 2005 she became Executive Director, head of Lonson desks for France and Iberia, and in 2012 Melis-Moutafis was named Executive Director, Management Board Member of Willis Re France & Willis Re Iberia.
