New York-based MGA Ethos Specialty Insurance Services, part of Ascot Group, has announced the appointment of Kevin Mooney as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Small Medium Enterprise (SME), Casualty.
Mooney will be reporting to Rory Cline, Ethos’ Chief Underwriting Officer, and will focus on developing excess casualty products for SME clients.
“We are delighted to have Kevin join our team,” said Cline. “He has a long, successful track record of building technology portals to streamline the underwriting process, providing a distinct service differentiator to brokers and clients.”
Ethos says Mooney will also be working closely with Justin Meizlik, Ethos’ Chief Operating Officer, on building technology-enabled underwriting platforms.
Mooney brings over 15 years’ experience in the creation and distribution of casualty insurance products through both retail and wholesale brokers.
Most recently he was Head of Excess Casualty at CapSpecialty Insurance Company and has prior experience with Navigators, Torus, ACE, and AIG.
Commenting on his appointment Mooney said, “I am excited to join this fast growing organization. The commitment to invest in technology will enable us to build a market leading platform.”
