Everest has announced the appointment of Clement Demetz as Reinsurance Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing to the firm a wealth of experience in finance, risk management, and strategic planning.
He joins Everest from SCOR, where he has worked for the past decade. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer-EVP Finance-Americas.
Prior to that he was SCOR’s Chief Accounting Officer-SVP Finance-Americas, and VP Finance-Americas
Demetz has also been Chairman of the Audit Committee for ESSOR Seguros, and a Board Member for SCOR Brasil Resseguros.
He also served for over eight years as the Head of the U.S. Insurance Audit Department for Mazars, an international audit, tax and advisory firm.
Demetz’s hire is one of Everest’s latest appointments. It follows the promotion of Emily Davis to Global Head of Engineering and Marco Schiattone’s appointment as Global Head of Financial Risk, both within Everest Reinsurance.
Additionally, Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Group, has recently announced the launch of a dedicated US Wholesale and Programs Division to serve the evolving needs of this market.
