Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has named three new members of its Executive Committee, as Neil Mayer, Lara Mowery and John Crichton are all added to the senior leadership group.
The company said the move is aligned with its “ongoing commitment to deliver differentiated value and experience to its clients.”
The Executive Committee features senior leaders from across Guy Carpenter, who come together to help steer priorities for the reinsurance broker.
Neil Mayer has been made Chief Operating Officer for Guy Carpenter, which will see him taking oversight of the central operations, client support services, marketing & communications and data strategy teams and leading the firm’s Operating Committee.
Mayer was most recently Chief Operating Officer, North America, before which he was the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation. He has also been a senior member of the Marsh & McLennan M&A / Corporate Development team.
Lara Mowery has been given the newly created role of Global Head of Distribution, which will see her taking charge of Guy Carpenter’s placement and distribution strategy.
Mowery will be tasked with setting market-leading standards for client/broker/reinsurer interactions, as well as leading on systems and tools that drive interaction with the markets.
Mowery most recently led Guy Carpenter’s Global Property Center of Excellence.
John Crichton, already the Chief Information Officer of Guy Carpenter, also joins the firm’s Executive Committee.
President and CEO Peter Hearn commented on the expansion of the Executive Committee, “I am very pleased to welcome Neil, Lara and John to our Executive Committee as they bring proven expertise and leadership to our strong team of industry veterans. I am confident that the new members will play a key role as we look to expand our offerings, services and value to our clients.”
