Bermuda domiciled independent, multi-line managing general agent, Helix Underwriting Partners Ltd., has announced that its subsidiary Helix Underwriting Partners USA Ltd. is now officially open for business,
Led by Greg Butler, Helix USA offers property insurance capacity of up to $10 million per risk on an excess of loss basis for schedules with a Total Insured Value (TIV) between $50 and $100 million.
The MGA explained that the new capacity aims to enhance its presence as a company in the US domestic market.
The launch also complements the existing property solutions provided by Helix Bermuda, which focuses on TIVs exceeding $100 million.
Helix Underwriting Partners commented, “We are building distribution channels by combining underwriting talent and technology into a delivery platform generating business opportunities that offer superior risk-adjusted returns to our strategic partners.”
Currently, the MGA’s risk appetite is dictated by market opportunity, differentiating distribution, and “best-in-class” delivery teams.
