Insurance and reinsurance broker Miller has appointed Ian Curtin as Head of its Energy Construction team to bring expertise in oil and gas re/insurance to clients globally.
Curtin has decades of experience in various areas of the energy world and joins Miller from Marsh, where he served as Global Head of Offshore Construction and Head of Energy Construction, London.
In his new role, he will work with Miller’s team in London to develop business for both offshore and onshore projects, as well as upstream and downstream operational business.

Prior to Marsh, Curtin held a number of senior positions at Alexander Forbes/Lockton, C.E. Heath, and Sedgwick, where he began his insurance career in 1977.
He has extensive experience working on major projects in the UK, Norway, and Australia, and designed and placed the insurance programmes for two of the three first floating LNG projects.
