Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM), the underwriting management division of Ryan Specialty, has announced the appointment of Jeff Smith as CEO of the newly created Ryan Specialty Renewables practice, effective immediately.
Ryan Specialty Renewables is RSUM’s managing general underwriting practice focused on the global delivery of renewable and energy transition solutions.
This announcement includes the rebranding and unification of RSUM’s three existing renewable energy MGUs- PERse North America, PERse International and Albus. The MGU rebranding will be completed during the third quarter of 2026.
Through a comprehensive and unified platform, Ryan Specialty Renewables offers clients and capital providers a wide range of renewable energy insurance products and services.
By integrating specialised global capabilities, underwriting expertise, and strong market relationships, the practice delivers a complete suite of solutions. This worldwide strategy for managing power and renewable energy risks ensures deep sector proficiency and elevated service for both large and middle-market insureds.
