Joshua Walker joins Aon’s Intellectual Property Solutions as Chief Product Officer

Global insurance and reinsurance brokerage Aon has appointed Joshua Walker Chief Product Officer for the firm’s Intellectual Property Solutions division, based in San Francisco.

Joshua WalkerIn his new role, Walker will lead the team as it continues to develop and evolve a comprehensive set of consulting, valuation and risk transfer offerings within the intellectual property asset class.

Aon’s Intellectual Property Solutions is part of the broker’s New Ventures Group that was launched in 2018, and is focused on helping clients to manage their intangible assets while continuing to educate the broader marketplace.

Walker brings extensive experience to the role, having practiced intellectual property and big data law in Silicon Valley for over 16 years. This includes being Head of Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Transactions for Simpson Thacher. He also co-founded and led Lex Machina, Inc. and has assisted with the establishment of a number of law and computer science ventures at Stanford University.
