Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Alex Koh as Senior Underwriter, effective immediately, based in Singapore and reporting to Annie Leong, Regional Underwriting Manager.
Koh’s remit in the role will include being responsible for maintaining and expanding the company’s existing reinsurance portfolio in the region.
Leong commented on the appointment, “We are very pleased to welcome Alex to Liberty. As our operation in Singapore continues to expand, his extensive experience will be a great asset to us, our brokers, partners and clients, helping us to facilitate more effective management of complex and emerging risk.
“Our operations in Asia Pacific have gone from strength to strength in recent years, and, with individuals of Alex’s calibre, we are ready to continue our growth.”
Prior to this, Koh worked as a Treaty Manager for China Reinsurance Corporation. During this role, he was based out of Singapore, and his responsibilities included underwriting treaty business from South Asia and South Korea.
Koh’s appointment is in line with Liberty Mutual Re’s goal to combine local knowledge with global expertise to best service its clients.
