Loadsure has made two appointments at the top of its organisation.

Johnny McCord, CEO of the company, said: “Both Nathan’s and Kate’s contributions have been essential to the development of Loadsure over the past year and their promotions are recognition of all their important efforts. They are both highly regarded across the team and by our clients, and are perfectly equipped to contribute to Loadsure’s continuing growth.”

The news comes a few months after the firm secured $11m in a Series A funding road led by MMC Ventures. At the time, Loadsure said it planned to use the funding to scale its organisation, accelerate the development of its technology, increase reach, and better serve the global cargo and freight insurance market through a more efficient distribution chain.

Loadsure said that Trimble joined the firm as executive vice president for sales and business development last year. He previously held a variety of senior sales roles at insurance firms including InsurTech MGA Corvus Insurance. At Loadsure he is responsible for managing the market strategy, client engagement, sales activities, and growing sales team.

Lawson, who is new to the company, will be heading Loadsure’s strategy to support and maintain the company’s open and entrepreneurial culture, supporting its growing workforce, as well as efforts to continually recruit the best talent possible.

Loadsure was granted coverholder status by the specialist Lloyd’s of London insurance and reinsurance marketplace back in 2022. Following its Lloyd’s approval, the insurtech partnered with ArgoGlobal, a division of re/insurer Argo Group, to provide capacity and support for its development.
