Magnolia Grove has announced the appointment of Rumen Valkanov as assistant vice president following the MGA’s launch in August of this year.
Magnolia Grove state that Valkanov brings more than 11 years of insurance experience to the company, 8 of which were dedicated to the environmental insurance market.
Prior to joining Magnolia Grove, Valkanov led an environmental underwriting team at Westchester, a Chubb Company, where he developed relationships with brokers in the West Coast region.
He also holds a Risk Management & Insurance degree from Georgia State University.
Valkanov will assume his position with immediate effect and will report to Justin Crawford, president, and CEO.
