Global re/insurance brokerage Marsh has announced the appointment of Jenny Yu as Chemicals and Life Sciences Industry Practice Leader for the UK & Ireland.
Yu joins Marsh from Munich Re, where she most recently served as Life Science Risk Solutions Leader.
She has spent the last nine years at Munich Re in a variety of underwriting and analytics roles focused on the life sciences, pharma and biotech sectors.
In her new role, Yu will be based in London, reporting to Charles Beresford-Davies, Head of Industry Practices, UK & Ireland.
This will involve joining Marsh’s UK & Ireland Industry Practice leadership team, which is responsible for delivering Marsh services to clients ranging from SMEs to global corporations.
She will take up her position in January 2020, succeeding Simon Thompson, who is retiring from the firm.
“Clients need advisers that have both the technical expertise and strategic insight to help them navigate complex risk issues and deliver the breadth of Marsh’s sector capabilities,” said Beresford-Davies.
