Matthew Strong named MD for Credit & Political Risks at Howden CAP

Insurance broker Howden has appointed Matthew Strong as Managing Director, Credit and Political Risks, Howden CAP.

howden-group-logoIn this role, Strong will be based in London, and he will be a member of Howden CAP’s Executive Committee.

Howden CAP focuses on four service lines: insurance for M&A transactions, Tax & Contingent Risks, Surety and Credit & Political Risks.

Overall, Strong brings 25 years of experience towards the role. Over the course of his industry career, he has built a track record for advising companies on complex risk transfer solutions across Asia, the UK, and the US.

Strong joins Howden CAP from global insurance broker and risk advisor, Marsh, where he most recently served as CEO, Credit Specialties, UK & Ireland.

Before joining Marsh, he spent more than 15 years at JLT, where he served in a range of senior positions, including CEO, Credit, Political and Security Risks.

Howden noted that Strong will commence his employment at Howden CAP once his contractual obligations to his present employer are discharged.
