Specialist re/insurance broker McGill and Partners has appointed Karl Hennessy as CEO of McGill Global Risk Solutions LLC, where he will oversee the firm’s US Specialty and Reinsurance operations.
Hennessy joined the organisation in October 2019, taking on the role of Head of Specialty Broking.
His career in the industry began at Fenchurch International, where he worked as a Casualty wholesaler before moving to Lloyd Thompson in 1990.
Fast-forward to 2007, and he would join broker Aon, where he assumed various leadership roles including CEO for Aon UK’s Global and Specialty client account operations, CEO for Aon’s London based Specialty and Wholesale Global Broking Centre and CEO Aon Carrier Solutions.
In addition, Hennessy also previously served as Global President of Aon Broking and sat on the Aon Risk Solutions Global Operating Committee.
