Global re/insurance broker Miller has announced the appointment of Eugene Leong to its Singapore team, enhancing its property, downstream energy and construction capabilities.

He will work closely with Singapore and London colleagues to support growth from existing and potential new clients in the Asia region.

Leong joins Miller from Marnix in Singapore, where he produced and placed facultative property and engineering business from South East Asia.

Prior to this, he worked at UIB for five years as a facultative reinsurance broker.

Leong began his career in 2001 and has been predominantly responsible for business development with insurance companies and reinsurance broking firms.

“In this challenging market, Eugene’s 18 years of industry experience will prove beneficial for our clients in the Asia region,” said Chihiro Maekawa, Head of the Property & Casualty broking team in Singapore.

“His appointment demonstrates our continued commitment to providing excellent service and developing new opportunities,” Maekawa added.
