Miller expands Delegated Authority with creation of Canada team

Specialist re/insurance broker Miller has announced the expansion of its delegated Authority offering with the appointment of five new hires to form a Canadian team.

MillerThe team will be formed of Steve Maslen, Matt Dear, Mike Biddle, Saif Sulaiman and Nick Wilson, whom each join from Tysers, and hold significant experience in the Canadian property & casualty market.

Maslen and Dear will both lead the team, having longstanding experience operating in the London Market with a specific focus on Canadian business.

Miller suggests that the appointments reflect the company’s continued investment in broadening its product offering and jurisdictional capabilities in the Delegated Authority space.

The new team will report to Chris Hardcastle, who was appointed Head of Delegated Authority in April.

Hardcastle commented on the expansion, stating, “We are delighted to welcome the team to Miller.
