Specialist re/insurance broker, Miller has appointed Matthew Keeping as Head of Property & Casualty (P&C), where he will report to Tim Norman, Managing Director, Miller UK.
He succeeds Mike Papworth who was recently appointed to the new dual role of Managing Director of Miller International and Chairman of P&C, following the strategic re-alignment of the business into two divisions, Miller UK and Miller International, to support UK and international growth.
Overall, Keeping brings over 20 years of experience towards the role. Throughout his career he has worked in roles within P&C, specialty insurance, and reinsurance.
He joins Miller from Foresight, where he was Head of Distribution. Prior to this, he worked at QBE North America, where he served as Regional Executive-Eastern Region.
Additionally, Keeping also previously worked for 14 years at WTW where he held several roles in the UK and North America, including Chief Broking Officer, NA.
Addressing his appointment, Keeping said: “Miller’s independence, excellent reputation, and the broking skill of its people, provide an excellent platform for future growth. Miller’s values of working as one team and acting with integrity are a great fit for my own ethos, and I’m excited to get started and deliver for our clients.”
Tim Norman, Managing Director, Miller UK, added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Matthew to the team. His deep market relationships and significant experience across a number of key regions in both client-facing and leadership roles will be of great benefit to Miller as we continue to grow. We’ve started 2023 at pace and Matthew is the perfect person to take on this role as we continue to expand.”
