MS Reinsurance, part of insurance group MS&AD and domiciled in Switzerland, has appointed Kate McDonald as Chief Strategy Officer.
McDonald brings a vast amount of expertise towards her new role, having served across the industry for over 10 years.
For six years, she worked at PwC, where she was based in London. During her tenure with the firm, McDonald held the role of Senior Manager within the firm’s Insurance & Investment Management Audit Practise.
She would serve in this role for three years, before being promoted to Director within the firm’s Audit and Risk Assurance Practise.
MS Reinsurance launched in September 2022, following a rebranding from MS Amlin AG.
Meanwhile, in February, MS Reinsurance bolstered its leadership team with four executive hires. The company appointed Marcus Pollak as Head of Underwriting Operations, Benedikt Schmid as Chief Information and Data Officer, Susanne Gnädinger as Chief Transformation Officer, and Stefan Behr as Head of EMEA Group Clients, International Casualty and Engineering.
