Bermuda-based re/insurance asset manager Pillar Capital Holdings has announced the appointment of Jeff Franklin as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), effective immediately.
“I am thrilled to assume the CUO position at Pillar” said Franklin. “It has been an honour to contribute to Pillar’s success in the reinsurance market and I’m looking forward to continuing to expand our share of the Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) collateralised reinsurance market.”
Franklin joined Pillar as Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager in 2013 and has extensive experience in global property underwriting, having previously served as the CUO of Flagstone Re.
Commenting on the appointment, Pillar’s Board of Directors said, “Jeff has played an integral leadership role in expanding Pillar’s market presence and leading the development of our portfolio strategy over the last five years.
“His appointment as Chief Underwriting Officer is a natural progression that enables the Company to benefit from his proven underwriting expertise in the Bermuda reinsurance market and his extensive market contacts.”
