QBE has announced the establishment of a Client Proposition team and with immediate effect, the appointment of Matt Lacy in the newly create role of Director of Client Proposition.
Lacy has over 20 years industry experience. He has been with QBE since 2002, holding a variety of positions including Head of London Markets, Director of Casualty and, most recently, Programme Director for Construction and Multi-National.
Within his new role, Lacy will report into Andrew Besant, Chief Customer Officer, QBE European Operations.

He knows our clients and their requirements well and his technical underwriting experience will be invaluable as we look to strengthen how we engage with our clients. His appointment is another excellent example of the strength of our internal pool of talent.”
In a press release, it states that QBE’s Client Proposition team brings together multiple specialisms under one leadership structure.
The team is also part of QBE’s drive to further enhance its client offering and deliver a market-leading service.
The Client Proposition team will comprise of four units, which includes Client Management, which will have responsibility for supporting QBE’s largest clients, in partnership with brokers.
Risk Solutions, which will be a 24-strong team of risk management professionals that will provide risk education and risk mitigation advice across a range of practices from property and casualty to motor and financial lines.
The team will also include a Proposition Management unit, which will be used to ensure QBE’s offering is relevant and designed with its chosen sectors in mind.
And lastly, there will also be a Client Capability unit that will heavily focus on segmentation, satisfaction measurement and insight.
