R&Q program management hits $445mn GWP in H1

Non-life global specialty insurer Randall & Quilter achieved $445 million in Gross Written Premium during the first half of 2021, an 80% increase from the $247 million seen in the prior year period.

Randall & QuilterFee Income, which represents program fee revenue and the firm’s share of earnings from minority stakes in MGA’s, stood at $25.2 million for H121, a 135% increase.

The company also managed to secure 60 programs, a jump from 24 in the prior year period.

Contracted Premium was $1.6 billion in H121, up 74% from the previous year.

In July 2021, Accredited added 7 new programs, bringing the total number of programs to 67, increasing the Contracted Premium to $1.8 billion.

“We are pleased to report continued strong momentum and growth in our Program Management business, having achieved profitability for the first time in 2020,” William Spiegel, Executive Group Chairman.
