RT Specialty, the wholesale brokerage unit of Ryan Specialty Group, has appointed Seth Johnson president of RT Binding Authority.
Effective January 1, Johnson will succeed Scott H. Smith, who announced his intent to retire at the end of 2019.
Johnson is currently president of RT Specialty – Atlantic, having joined the company following the acquisition of Atlantic Specialty Lines (ASL), where he was the Chief Operating Officer.
Commenting on his appointment, Johnson said, “I am extremely honored and humbled to be asked to lead RT Binding.
“RT is comprised of the best, most intelligent, motivated insurance professionals in the business. I’ve enjoyed working with Scott Smith and look forward to transitioning RT Binding with his excellent insights and wisdom.
