Emil Frey Group, a Swiss group of companies with various businesses in the automotive space, has partnered with iptiQ, Swiss Re’s B2B2C digital insurer, to launch a digital insurance solution named Emily Frey protect.

swiss-re-logoAccording to the announcement, this new partnership combines Emil Frey’s customer-centric focus in the automotive market with iptiQ’s expertise in integrating digital insurance solutions into the value chain of consumer brands (embedded insurance).

Emil Frey protect is now available to customers in the Swiss market when purchasing and servicing cars. As it is fully integrated into Emil Frey’s digital sales and mobility platform, it is 100% paperless, the firm claims.

Andreas Schertzinger, Regional Market Executive iptiQ EMEA, said: “We are proud to be able to offer an innovative insurance solution together with Emil Frey.

“With our relentless focus on customer needs and seamless integration into the sales and mobility platform, we are setting a prime example of how embedded insurance is enabling the future of mobility.”

Emil Frey follows its principle of “one specialist for all car-related concerns” by offering its customers personal one-stop-shop advice in their branch of choice, where the insurance offer is issued and confirmed digitally.

This also applies in the event of a claim, the firm explained, whereby Emil Frey protect customers can rely on repairs with original spare parts. Furthermore, the deductible for collision can be reduced to CHF 0.

Bernd Hoch, Managing Director and Claudio Kneschaurek, Head of Automotive Insurance at Emil Frey Mobility AG, said: “We are very pleased with the successful launch of Emil Frey protect in collaboration with iptiQ.

“Thanks to an ideal combination of digitalisation and personalisation, we can now offer our customers comprehensive and high-performance car insurance with just a few clicks.”
