Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial direct risk underwriting arm of Swiss Re, has announced a new appointment to the Innovative Risk Solutions EMEA team.
Schorstein has been appointed Senior Structurer, a role with a significant focus on structuring index and parametric insurance risk transfer products.
She commented: “The world of risk, its perception and handling is rapidly changing. To be a part of that, crafting structures to solve evolving problems, finding answers to questions which we did not even know we’d have some years back, is very rewarding.”
She rejoins Swiss Re Corporate Solutions after spending over two years as Index-based & Parametric Risks Underwriter at Hannover Re. Prior to that he served as Head of Insurance for almost two years at WorldCover.
In 2015 Schorstein joined the Swiss Re division as Originator, Weather & Energy, a role she held for four years. She has also held positions at CelsiusPro, AURA Investment Management and KPMG Advisory.
