Bermuda-headquartered re/insurer SiriusPoint has appointed Trecia Sigle as Global Head of Claims, effective February 6, 2023.
Within this role, she will report to Patrick Charles – Global Head of Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance & Services.
As Global Head of Claims, Sigle will hold responsibility for the overall management and strategic direction of the claims function across SiriusPoint’s global underwriting portfolio.
This includes policy and governance, claims handling, and best practices across all jurisdictions. Additionally, the portfolio also includes the buildout of claims capability to support SiriusPoint’s growing primary insurance business, including the claims function associated with MGA partnerships, and Third Party Administrators (TPAs).
Sigle joins SiriusPoint from CNA Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, where she served as Vice President of TPA and Multinational Claims. While serving in this role, she managed claim relationships for domestic and international policies.
Sigle began her career in insurance in 2001, when she served as a Staff Counsel Attorney at Travelers, before moving into claims and progressing throughout the company.
Moving forward to 2016, she then moved to Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co to lead their workers’ compensation claims, before moving to CNA in 2018.
“SiriusPoint is committed to delivering outstanding customer service, and a responsive and dependable claims function is central to that commitment. Trecia is an accomplished and experienced claims professional. I look forward to welcoming her and to strengthening this essential part of our organization,” said Charles.
Furthermore, Maddie Morris was recently appointed as an Underwriter within SiriusPoint’s Energy & Marine Liability team.
Earlier in January, it was also reported that SiriusPoint has entered into a partnership with Distinguished Programs to expand into Environmental, Construction Pollution and Professional Insurance.
