Bill Rogers, chairman and CEO of Truist, said: “Daryl has played an instrumental role in the success of our merger of equals—one of the largest financial services mergers in recent history. His leadership, commitment and expertise have greatly contributed to our success and purpose, and we all thank Daryl for his many years of service to Truist teammates, clients and communities.”

Bible posted a note on LinkedIn regarding his retirement after thirty-eight years in the insurance industry.

He wrote: “It’s with very mixed emotions I share that I have made the decision to retire from Truist after more than 14 years serving the company and 38 years in the industry. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside the best Finance team in the business and in helping build Truist as we know it today.”

He added: “I’m honoured to have served as the Chief Financial Officer through many phases of our journey, from the Great Recession to a global pandemic, and most recently during one of the largest financial institution mergers of our time. I wish my Truist family nothing but the best as I pursue this next chapter in my life, and can’t wait to watch the many ways our teammates will continue living Truist’s Purpose in the years to come.”

Bible joined Truist as assistant CFO in January 2008, becoming senior EVP and CFO later that year.
