Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of Swiss Re, has appointed Yann Krattiger as Head of Commercial Growth Initiatives for Alternative Risk Transfer (ART).
The company said Krattiger has helped shape its Alternative Risk Transfer offering over a number of years, contributing extensive expertise and a collaborative approach to addressing complex risk challenges.
According to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the appointment reflects the growing need for innovative and tailored risk transfer solutions as organisations navigate increasingly interconnected risks. The company said the new role has been created to support the expansion of its ART capabilities, identify new commercial opportunities and develop solutions that go beyond traditional insurance.
In his new position, Krattiger will focus on driving commercial growth initiatives across the company’s Alternative Risk Transfer business. His responsibilities include coordinating global work streams, supporting collaboration across cross-functional teams, developing targeted growth initiatives and establishing strategic partnerships. The role will also focus on using data and analytics to strengthen risk management and resilience, while creating tailored risk transfer structures for complex and difficult-to-hedge risks across a range of industries.
Krattiger has been with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions for more than six years. Prior to his latest appointment, he previously served as Head of Alternative Risk Transfer EMEA and also held the position of Head Structured Fronting IRS.
Before joining Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Krattiger spent almost 12 years at Allianz, where he held underwriting and leadership roles within Alternative Risk Transfer.
