Tysers appoints James Lucas as associate director

Broker firm Tysers has appointed James Lucas to be its associate director in its political violence and terrorism team.

TysersLucas will join from Aon Benfield where he is responsible for developing the Latin America and EMEA Terrorism and Political Violence solutions across Aon’s network.

Jason Collins, co-head of global broking, markets and business development at Tysers, said: “It’s great to welcome James to the Tysers’ team.

“His appointment is indicative of our strategic ambition and commitment to meeting the increasing demand for specialist insurance expertise and technical skills across international markets.”

Lucas will be joining the global team led by Ciara Appleford, whose hiring was reported on at the end of December.

According to its LinkedIn page, Tysers is ranked the twelfth largest broker in the UK, with annual revenues of $217m. It is also reportedly the 6th largest broker placing business into Lloyd’s of London, placing £2.75bn of premium into the markets annually.
