Urs Uhlmann leaves Zurich to become CEO, Country Manager for Canada, XL Catlin

Global insurer and reinsurer XL Catlin has hired Urs Uhlmann from Zurich Canada as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Country Manager for Canada, tasked with leading the firm’s overall insurance operations in the country and its regional business strategy.

XL Catlin logoUhlmann joins XL Catlin from global insurer Zurich, where he was most recently CEO of Global Corporate for Zurich Canada. Previously, Uhlmann served as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Corporate.

Uhlmann will be based in the firm’s Toronto, Canada office, and will oversee offices in Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver.
