The reinsurance arm of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, AXIS Re has announced that Joe Sweeting has joined the firm as Head of Lloyd’s Casualty Reinsurance.
In his new role, Sweeting will take responsibility for managing all aspects of the reinsurer’s casualty operation at the specialist Lloyd’s of London insurance and reinsurance marketplace. This includes portfolio strategy, new and renewal production activity and also distribution development from reinsurance intermediaries.
He joins the company from Vibe Syndicate 5678, where he served for over three years as Casualty Treaty Class Underwriter. Prior to Vibe, he was Head of Casualty Reinsurance for Hiscox Syndicate 33 and a Casualty Underwriter for Amlin Syndicate 2001.
