Global advisory and broking solutions company WTW has announced the addition of Sam Berry to its Direct and Facultative team in London.
Berry has been hired as new Claims Advocate. She brings two decades of experience handling North American property and casualty claims and joins WTW from BMS, where she served for a decade.
Prior to that, Berry spent ten years holding positions at JLT, a British re/insurer acquired by MMC in 2019, and with insurance underwriter RKHarrison.
Berry will report into Alex Woodgate, Senior Claims Advocate, Direct & Facultative.
Commenting on Berry’s appointment, Woodgate said: “We’re delighted to have Sam part of our Direct and Facultative team. Her extensive experience will help us deliver strong results and maintain the integrity of the market, while cultivating key relationships.”
Berry said: “The attraction is the collaboration and connectivity – where placing brokers, claims brokers and policy form experts work together as one across geographies is not only extremely compelling but a clear differentiator.”
WTW’s new Claims advocate is the company’s most recent addition following a series of appointments. These include William Miller named Head of Crisis Management, Asia Pacific appointed in early december; and Adrian Hicks who was appointed Head of Mid-Market and Real Estate for North America in November.
