WTW boosts exposure management and climate analytics team with senior hires

Global brokerage WTW has appointed Michelle Radcliffe as Director in the Exposure Management and Climate Analytics Team, within the firms Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.

Within the role, she will heavily focus on climate transition risks and exposure management for underwriting, against a backdrop of changing legislation and market ESG initiatives.

She joins the company from international law firm, CMS. During her time at the firm, Radcliffe served on the environmental team where she advised clients on various aspects of UK Net Zero, the European Green Deal, sustainability and wider climate change and environmental risk management issues.

Prior to this role, she was a member of the CMS’ insurance team, where she would develop expertise in advising insurers and reinsurers on climate change risks that are likely to impact their underwriting books.

Addressing Radcliffe’s appointment, David Singh, Head of Climate Analytics and Exposure Management, ICT, WTW, said: “Michelle has a unique insight into the environmental and insurance risk landscape, giving her an in-depth understanding of liability and risk solutions. Additionally, WTW has also appointed Tim Newman and Naima Ali as Associate Director and Senior Associate respectively in the Climate Analytics and Exposure Management team.

Newman joins the firm Cyber Cube and Ali from SCOR, where they both specialised in non-property and property catastrophe risk solutions and analytics.

All three new appointees will report into David Singh and will be based in London.

In its full-year results, WTW achieved 4% organic revenue growth to $8.866 billion, however net income for the year declined by 74% to $1.024 billion when compared with 2021.
