WTW brings Alessandro Pesci back into the fold

Advisory firm WTW has appointed Alessandro Pesci as EMEA reserving practice director in its Insurance Consulting and Technology business.

Pesci is returning to the company and will be based in the firm’s Rome office where he will work to support and strengthen client relationships within the EMEA region. He will also lead WTW’s technology and software propositions and solutions to help clients manage risk and capital, providing specific consultancy on IFRS17, reserving automation, inflation, and M&A.

Alessandro Santoni, managing director for the south-west division of Insurance Consulting and Technology at WTW, said: “We have already worked closely with Alessandro on big and complex projects, and he brings tremendous experience and industry knowledge to this role. We are delighted that he has returned to WTW and his global expertise will continue to provide strong value to our team, helping to deliver what our clients need now and in the future.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Pesci spent over thirteen years at Willis Towers Watson between 2008 and 2021, where he rose to the role of P&C/non-life ICT director. He followed this with a stint at Generali Employee Benefits where he was head of actuarial reserving from February 2021.

Pesci said in a statement: “I am excited to return to WTW, having gained valuable experience in the insurance industry at a global level. I look forward to working with the hugely experienced and talented insurance reserving team and the wider WTW business, helping to deliver diversified and innovative solutions for our clients.”
