XL Catlin expands aviation insurance product to Mexico

XL Catlin has expanded its aviation insurance offerings to Mexico and is to initially focus on general aviation hull and liability risks.

XL Catlin LogoHaving established a presence in Latin America, Brazil, the U.S. and Canada, XL considers this expansion as the next step in aiding general aviation clients manage risk in the region.

Commenting on the announcement, Pablo Crain, Country Manager at XL Catlin Mexico, said, “As a leading market for specialty insurance we are relentlessly focused on strengthening our capabilities and product offering.”

The new offering will concentrate on underwriting jets, some turbo-propelled aircraft and helicopters, with a maximum age of 28 years and will offer broad coverage locally in standard policies along with complementary endorsements through global and national insurance brokers.
