XL Catlin’s North America Construction business has bolstered its excess casualty insurance team with the appointments of underwriters Jillian Eckert and Laura Travis to its Philadelphia office.
“Given the pace of construction activity throughout the Mid-Atlantic states and the size of construction projects throughout the region, the need for quality excess casualty insurance coverage continues to grow,” said Ed Totten, Senior Vice President, Underwriting Manager in XL’s NA Construction Excess Casualty Profit Center.
Eckert joins from Willis Towers Watson where she most recently served as a construction client manager and was responsible for addressing the insurance needs of several large and middle market construction clients.
Travis joins from Nationwide Insurance where she served as a commercial underwriter.
“As the industry’s go-to excess casualty insurance market for contractors and their brokers, we’re excited to see our team grow and attract industry underwriting talent like Jillian and Laura,” added Totten.
“They bring a lot of strong energy and new ideas to our team. It’s this kind of energy, ideas and overall commitment to contractors that will continue to drive our growth as we help our clients take advantage of the ample construction opportunities available throughout the region.”
