Zurich North America has announced plans to merge its Specialty Products business with its North American Commercial Insurance unit to simplify company processes and make product offers more accessible to its clients.
The newly expanded unit will be led by Paul Horgan, head of North America Commercial Insurance, who reports to Mike Foley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zurich North America, and James Shea, CEO of Global Commercial Insurance.
Horgan said; “We continue to build on our commercial leadership position and come together for our customers, we are confident this structure will help us become more agile, more collaborative, and more customer-focused.”
The insurer also announced the appointment of Brian Winters to Head of Specialty Products for Zurich North America, reporting to Horgan.
Prior to his appointment, Winters led Zurich’s casualty business in North America, bringing innovative risk management and insurance solutions to its largest corporate customers.
The insurer is making changes to provide easier access to its products and services, delivering local solutions to a wide variety of middle market businesses as it looks to streamline and strengthen its organisation.
The move is also meant to create greater consistency in its go-to-market approach across North America and its international network.
