Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Walsdorf Agency, Inc., a commercial and personal lines insurance agency based in Huntington, New York.
Founded in 1926, Walsdorf Agency is a third generation, family owned agency with niche expertise in real estate.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but will see the company relocate to Gallagher’s office in Jericho, New York.
Going forward, David L. Walsdorf, Louis J. Walsdorf and their associates will operate under the direction of Patrick Kennedy, head of Gallagher’s Northeast region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Last month, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. also expanded its presence in Australia and Atlantic Canada with the acquisitions of Blueleaf Consulting Pty Ltd., Sinclair Billard and Weld Limited, and CJM Solutions + Inc., dba SBW Employee Benefits.
