Independent insurance and wealth services firm Alera Group has hired Cynthia Ballantyne from Arthur J Gallagher as the new Managing Director of its West region.
In the new role, Alera Group states that Ballantyne will accelerate growth by developing leadership teams, implementing efficient operations, and bolstering expansion across its West region.
This includes 18 offices, 36 locations, 600 colleagues and approximately $185 million in revenue across California, Arizona and Nevada.
At Gallagher, Ballantyne chiefly served as Area President, where she had 15 direct reports and a matrix of 500 team members to support her region.
She also worked directly with functions such as M&A, sales/producers, benefit advocates, financial benefit consulting, wellness, operations, account management, finance and marketing.
Before this, Ballantyne was President of Bagnall, which Gallagher purchased in 2016.
