Amwins Program Underwriters launches coverage for home health care workers

Amwins Program Underwriters (APU), part of the Amwins Underwriting division, has launched its new Home Health Care HNOA program designed to provide hired and non-owned auto liability coverage for home health care operations.

AMWINSWith more seniors opting to stay in their homes longer and more medical procedures allowing for at-home recovery, home health care has grown in popularity.

APU’s specialised HNOA program has been designed to tackle the distinct hurdles faced by these providers when delivering vital services to patients in their homes.

Coverage is available in all states except Louisiana and includes standalone hired and non-owned auto liability with limits up to $5 million.

Classes of business include doctors/nurse practitioners, visiting nurses, physical therapists. counselling/mental health, occupational therapists, blood delivery services, phlebotomists, dialysis technicians, any in-home medical related, massage therapists, non-medical home assistants and hospice care.

Amwins noted that accounts offering client/patient/passenger transport are not eligible for this program.
