Leading global professional services firm, Aon has named Charles Knight as Global Yacht Manager, Specialist in Yacht, and Pleasure Craft.
Knight joined the company on May 3, 2022, and reports to Global Yacht Leader – Emma Carpenter.
Within this new role, Knight will drive the development of Aon’s small yacht offering for the UK, Europe, and then globally. Knight, who has more than 18 years of experience within marine insurance, joins from Zurich Insurance-owned Navigators & General, where he was responsible for the companies Yacht, Delegated Authority and Commercial Marine sales and development for seven years.
Prior to that, he served as an Underwriter for Yacht at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).
Knight also held previous management positions at COBRA London Markets, where he served as Marine Manger & Marine Broker/Account Manager.
Addressing his appointment at Aon, Knight said: “I’m delighted to join Aon and look forward to supporting its impressive network of clients, helping them access smaller craft solutions and better capitalise on diversified opportunities.”
Carpenter, added: “Charles has a wealth of experience, strong track record, and extensive knowledge of all the complexities of small yachts. We are pleased to welcome him to the team as we focus on deepening our specialist expertise and see significant potential for growth in this area.”
