Aon names Jeremy Goodman as UK president for Reinsurance Solutions

13th September 2022 - Author: Pete Carvill

Insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has named Jeremy Goodman as the UK president for its Reinsurance Solutions business.

Goodman is to take on the role immediately, relocating from Singapore to London, but will maintain his role of head of global broking.

As UK president, he replaces Nick Frankland, who will now focus fully on his responsibilities as chairman of Aon’s growing Strategy and Technology Group (STG).

In his new role, Goodman will focus on building client relationships and driving business growth through effective segmentation across clients, products, and geographies.

He will report to Andy Marcell, global CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, and Rupert Moore, UK CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, joining a UK team that has seen significant operational growth and expansion over the past three years, with the hiring of a wide range of new talent.

Moore said: “We are excited to have Jeremy join our UK team. Jeremy has proven his adaptability and flexibility across different business cultures; has proven his ability to lead large, diverse client relationships, and is also a proven transactor. He excels in forming and maintaining longstanding market relationships. All of these skills and experience will combine to help us execute our UK strategy, and reinforces London’s importance in our global network.

He added: “Jeremy is a great example of how insurance can be a compelling career choice for the next generation of talent – it can offer the opportunity to travel and live worldwide, and work with a diverse range of people in a broad range of business areas.”

Goodman is not the only hire made by the firm in recent weeks. At the beginning of August, Aon said that Becky Allison was joining its Reinsurance Solutions group as COO and would be based in London. That announcement came a few weeks after Aon said its Reinsurance Solutions arm had seen organic revenue growth of 9% in Q2 2022.
