Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced the appointments of Joe Peiser as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Commercial Risk Solutions and Paul Shedden as head of advanced risk analytics for Risk Capital, effective immediately.
In their new roles, Peiser and Shedden will work closely with Aon’s Chief Operating Officer, Mindy Simon, and also Aon Business Services to accelerate the delivery of new client offerings. They will both report to Andy Marcell, Aon’s CEO of Risk Capital.
Peiser takes on responsibility for driving the growth of the company’s Commercial Risk Solutions. He will also collaborate with Reinsurance leaders across Risk Capital to develop innovative solutions that meet the emerging needs of clients.
He joined Aon in 2021 as the Head of Commercial Risk for North America. He is a market veteran with expertise in broking, consulting, underwriting and claims management. He succeeds Lambros Lambrou, who was named CEO of Human Capital, leading Aon’s Health, Wealth and Talent Solutions.
In his role as Head of Advanced Risk Analytics, Shedden will be tasked with further strengthening collaboration and innovation across the analytics and broking capabilities of both Commercial Risk Solutions and Reinsurance Solutions. He will be responsible for harnessing Aon’s technical expertise among data scientists, catastrophe modelers and actuaries for the benefit of clients.
Most recently, Shedden served as Head of Global and UK analytics for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions. He brings almost two decades of industry experience in actuarial, pricing and analytics, and underwriting roles.
