Atlas General Insurance Services has revealed continued plans for expansion after seeing a surge in commercial policies in 2017 and expanding its commercial reach to over 50 carrier partners.
Atlas currently provides commercial products in all 50 states and is expanding offers to small and medium commercial businesses throughout the U.S.; the insurer underwrites classes from habitational, hotels and motels, to offices and retail, with construction being the largest portion of the book.
Joe Zuk, president of the Commercial division, said; “we’re excited to be working with so many A.M. Best ‘A’ rated markets, ‘because we function so much like a carrier, we’re able to be nimble with our coverage offerings and respond to the market to best suit the needs of our brokers.
“That’s not something a lot of program administrators can say.”
The firm said it plans to continue its ambitious expansion throughout 2018.
“We want our brokers to know that when they contact one of our underwriters or business development experts, they have a partner working with them to source the best coverage, pricing and service for their insureds,” said Charles Lasher, senior vice president of the Commercial division.
“One of the ways we manage insureds’ expectations is by having an in-house claims liaison, billing staff and policy support specialists. We’re a one-stop shop, and that makes doing business with us a lot easier for our brokers and facilitates rapid service for their insureds.”
