Atrium Underwriting, the managing agent for Lloyd’s Syndicate 609, has announced the appointment of Mike MacColl as Head of Hull and War.
MacColl has over 35 years’ experience in the marine market having started his career at Lloyd’s Claims Office.
He joins Atrium from AXA XL where he held the position of Global Head of Marine Hull and War Underwriting. Prior to this, he spent 7 years as Head of Marine Hull and War Underwriting at Talbot Underwriting.
In his new role, MacColl will report to David Sankey, Head of Marine, who commented: “Mike has outstanding marine market experience, his strong leadership skills combined with significant technical expertise and commercial awareness make him a great addition to the team.”
